Meet Our Wonderful Lesson Horses!

Hi! My name is Pebbles a.k.a. "Cocoa Pebbles" and I'm a 2002, 11.2h Welsh Pony/POA cross mare. I have a nice flashy coloring, which really makes me stand out in the ring! I'm absolutely good as gold, and I'm a real favorite here at Harlequin. (Definitely the reigning Queen of the Walk/Trot.) I'm a perfect teacher to our younger beginner riders!

Fun Fact: I love grass!

Hey there! My name is Penny a.k.a. "Harlequin's Penny Pincher" and I'm a 2002, 12.3h Welsh Pony cross mare. I love cutting corners to save time and energy and I've come a long way since I first came to Harlequin. I'm one of the barn favorites! (Look out Pebbles!)

Fun Fact: I'm notorious for stealing extra hay at night and having one of the biggest bellies at the barn!

Greetings! My name is Ike a.k.a. "The Little General" and I'm a 2001, 12.3h Rocky Mountain Pony gelding with the classic RMP coloring. I absolutely love little kids. I'm also very athletic and quite a fancy mover. I have a big bouncy trot and one of the smoothest canters in the barn, which I know all the kids LOVE!

Fun Fact: I have some extra gaits (but I'm not supposed to use them)!

Hi there! My name is Mr. Dots and I'm a 2002, 13.2h Leopard Appaloosa gelding. I came to Harlequin from the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.

Fun Fact: I bear a strong resemblance to Margie's first horse, Harley, and it was love at first sight when she saw me!

Our Beloved Retirees

Hello! My name is Dutchess a.k.a. "Queen Frostine" and I'm a 1989, 14.1h Appaloosa mare. I was a key member of Harlequin's lesson program for a number of years. Even though I'm one of the oldest horses at the barn, I still have plenty of spunk left! I enjoy grazing on the back acreage and being pampered by the kids.

Fun Fact: I used to be a barrel racer!

Hey there! My name is Montie a.k.a. "The Full Montie" and I'm a 2008, 15.1h QH gelding. I am a barn favorite and loved to jump! I'm very cuddly and love to be doted upon.

Fun Fact: I have a very smooth jump!

Always Remembered

Tess a.k.a. "Tessie My Girl", her show name was Slow Dancer. She was a 17h TB mare, never raced or tattooed, hence the name Slow Dancer. In the past she did the hunters and continued her journey with Margie in dressage. She was also used in the lesson program for more advanced riders and touched the hearts of many along the way.

Corey a.k.a. "Corey the Circus Pony" a.k.a. "Devil in Disguise" (his official show name) was purchased by Margie more than a decade ago. He actually came from a disbanded Florida circus, and still remembered a few of his old tricks. Corey was a grey Shetland/Welsh pony cross, who was over 20 years old. He enjoyed his retirement, but in the past has been a first mount for some of our youngest riders. Rest in peace, my little friend.
